Vanessa Anne Oglesby-Weeks is a dedicated professional and community-oriented individual currently serving as a Receptionist for the Law Office of Mo Abusaft. With a strong background in public service, she previously devoted 10 years of service to the Spartanburg County Courthouse before retiring, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to excellence and integrity in her work.
A native of Cowpens, South Carolina, Vanessa was raised in Hempstead, New York, where she completed her early education at Franklin Elementary School and Hempstead High School. She furthered her education at the Institute of Computer Science in Hempstead, equipping herself with valuable technical and administrative skills.
Vanessa is a proud mother of two: Crystal C. Weeks of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Timothy S. Oglesby (Casey) of Griffin, Georgia. She is also a loving sister to twins Wanda Oglesby-Taylor and Wendy Oglesby McShaw (Jeff). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Taylor B. Fowlks, Esq., an attorney serving in Brooklyn, New York, and Jordan D. Oglesby of Griffin, Georgia.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Vanessa is an entrepreneur and the owner and operator of Oglesby’s Catering Service, where she is celebrated for her healthy homemade soul food and exceptional cakes. Her passion for cooking extends into her personal life, where she enjoys hosting family and friends.
Vanessa is actively involved in her community as a member of the Southside Lions Club and participates in The Ladies of a Queen’s Story, now featured on the Roku Channel. She is also a devoted member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Thomas E. Massey Jr.
In her leisure time, Vanessa enjoys cooking, baking, crafting, decorating, and traveling—always bringing warmth and creativity into everything she does.
