Mary Willis is a dedicated professional with a diverse background spanning education, law, corrections, and technology. She holds multiple academic credentials, including Associate in Science and Associate in Arts degrees from the University of South Carolina, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science System Security from Limestone University, and four Master’s degrees in fields such as Interactive Technology, Health Education and Promotion, Consumer Quality Management, and Health Informatics from the University of Alabama and Limestone University.

Mary spent 13 years teaching Social Work courses at Limestone University, where she combined academic knowledge with real-world experience. Her legal background includes work as a paralegal in both the Cherokee County Solicitor’s Office and a private law firm, with experience in personal injury, Social Security disability, workers’ compensation, and criminal law. She has also served as a Correctional Officer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections and as a jailer for the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Having worked on multiple sides of the justice system, Mary brings a unique and well-rounded perspective to her work. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys sports, writing poems and short stories, composing music, singing, and playing musical instruments including the piano, guitar, and violin and loves all animals, especially dogs. A proud mother of three sons and grandmother and great-grandmother to 18 grandchildren, Mary values family above all. Among her many experiences, she fondly recalls her time as a DJ at WBCU in Union, South Carolina as one of her most enjoyable roles.
